FAQ
FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
1. What is a Electronic Cigarette and how does it work?
An Electronic Cigarette is an personal vaporizer. Its a device that imitates the alternative. They come in all different shapes and sizes, and allow the user to vape whenever and wherever without regulation. The Electronic Cigarette is composed of 3 parts; a battery, an atomizer, and a cartridge/mouthpiece. When a user takes a puff/inhale of the personal vaporizer, the lithium ion rechargeable battery powers on the atomizer. At this point, the atomizer pulls the liquid from the cartridge to produce this vapor. The nicotine is then absorbed into the blood stream through the lungs and mouth providing almost instant relief from those pesky cravings.
2. What is in the cartridge and this Vapor you inhale?
Three main ingredients make up this liquid (what some like to call e-Liquid). They consist of:
Water: Cant survive without it. Its that substance you see covering 70+ percent of the earth
PG (Propylene Glycol): Considered generally food safe by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) Its mainly used in flavoring extracts but can also be found in medicines, cosmetics, hand soap, etc
Some Include Nicotine: Need I say more? I could go on for hours. The fact remains, NICOTINE IS ADDICTIVE.
3. How long does a standard cartridge last?
Some retailers claim that a single cartridge is equal to 30-40 traditional tobacco cigarettes. This is simply false advertising and not true. Reality, and what we have found from our own personal experience is this:
Joye 510 / Yeti / Black Hawk = 5-7
4. Can I smoke My Electronic Cigarettes anywhere and everywhere?
Technically, YES! Electronic Cigarette do NOT fall under any tobacco smoking ban. Some places are more accepting than others. Some bars, restaurants, etc are already allowing their patrons to use these devices. HOWEVER, this is at the determination and approval of the actual business establishment you are trying to Vape at.
5. Can Electronic Cigarette Help Me Quit Smoking Traditional Cigarettes?
This is probably the #1 question I get day in, and day out. The short answer is, a Electronic Cigarette is NOT advertised/marketed as a smoking cessation (quitting) device. There have been ZERO studies done on the success/failure rate of those who choose to try and quit smoking via personal vaporizers, therefore, at this time, it is only being marketed as a traditional tobacco cigarette alternative. Now, this doesnt mean its impossible to quit. Anything and Everything is possible, and perhaps there are people out there reading this who have quit! Some users have even reported having no desire to smoke traditional tobacco cigarettes after they had adapted to Electronic Cigarette. In the end, its the user, not the device, who chooses to quit.
6. Is an Electronic Cigarette Intended For Everyone?
NO! First and foremost, Personal Vaporizers are intended for ADULTS only. Personal Vaporizers are not to be used by anyone under the legal smoking age of the state they reside in. Some states that 18, others are 21.
Other Groups that should consult a physician before use Included (but are not limited to):
- Those who suffer from heart disease or high blood pressure.
- Pregnant, nursing, or those thinking of becoming pregnant.
- Those allergic to nicotine or other PG based products
IMPORTANT TIPS
Keep out of reach of children and pets/animals. This is especially true for cartridges and liquids.
In case of persistent sore throat, discontinue use. This could be a sign of a PG allergy.
Lithium-Ion batteries may pose a fire risk. Do not leave unattended while charging.
Keep cartridges in a cool dark place.
If a Personal Vaporizer is not going to be in use for an extended period of time, remove the cartridge so the excess liquid does not damage the electronic components.
Once a cartridge is open, use within 1-2 weeks.

When starting off your first time as a Ecig user you will need to purchase a Kit. Kits include 1-2 Electronic cigarettes, 5 Cartridges and a Charger unit. This will help you for the first few days to test out and understand how an Ecig works. Cartridges in a Kit come prefilled with standard tobacco flavor and vary in strength of nicotine, from high 18MG to zero nicotine. When your cartridge runs low or empty on liquid you will need to either replace the cartridge with a fresh one, or refill the cartridge with liquid if you have pruchased E-Liquid to do so. Below is a simple definition of each part of an eletronic Cigarette. For a Picture diagram please click here
CARTRIDGES
These are the holders for the liquid nicotine. On smaller models they are usually the mouthpiece as well, which is nice because it can be replaced easily. These can also be bought without liquid in them and refilled manually and re-used. You can also clean these by pulling out the poly fiber material, rinsing, and then drying.
BATTERIES
Pretty self explanatory. Battery life differs depending on cigarette model. The usually last for about 3 hours use and the larger the e-cigarette usually the longer the battery. These batteries do degrade over time so you will eventually have to replace them, some say they can be charged about 300 times before they are dead.
ATOMIZERS
This is the heart of the e-cigarette. This part heats up and converts the liquid into vaporizes nicotine. These can be cleaned and/or replaced. They have a tendency to degrade and die over time. So they will eventually have to be cleaned. Some side effects of a dirty atomizer or one that needs replacement is a burnt smell/taste when smoked with, less vapor being created, or not producing enough heat to make any vapor.
